Field View, Martinstown

This is a 2021 timber frame house built to mdern building regulations. The house contains cavity wall insulation with high spec double glazing. An LG air source heat pump provides underfloor heating on the ground level, radiators on the first floor and hot water throughout. There is no gas to the premises at all. LED lights are installed throughout the house. The house is equipped with a 7KW car charging point ready for whyen we switch to an electric car.

Whilst building the house we added 14 solar panels (4.5 KW) on the roof and an 8.2 KW Lithium ion battery stored in the garage. We also added three air conditioning units to the lounge, dining room and master bedroom. In the winter these can be used as high efficiency heaters to save heating the whole house. A reverse osmosis water filtration provides high quality drinking water. We use Octopus energy as our energy provider who pay us back when we export electricity to the grid. This happens most days during the summer.
