Situated close to Thomas Hardy monument with magnificent views on all sides our house has solar panels that generate electricity. That electricity is now stored in the recently installed Tesla battery. The combination of solar panels and battery allows us to be 70% self-powered averaged out over the year.

We also have solar thermal tubes that provide hot water. In both the front and back garden we have formed swathes of wildflower meadow that give the illusion of the garden being one with the surrounding countryside. We grow our own vegetables and garden organically.
